Build Marin
The Architectural Foundation of San Francisco created the Build Marin Project in the year 2001 in partnership with the Marin County Office of Education and the Marin Community Foundation.
In this program students engage in field research under the direction of professional mentors all of whom are involved in some aspect of the planning and design of a major public works project. Mentors include architects, city planners, public works officials, engineers, contractors and environmental experts. These mentors assist students in understanding the complexity of construction in the 21st century, and the wide range of issues connected with urban development.
