Build SF Update
The 2012 school year has begun and Build San Francisco is again accepting students. This year we are running three programs, including morning design studios with Independence and Ida B. Wells High Schools. The afternoon Build San Francisco Institute program is rapidly filling up, with a great group of students from eight different schools around San Francisco. These students will begin their mentorships in the next couple of weeks. That’s when the real learning begins.
Mentors Wanted. Build San Francisco students spend two afternoons each week working with firms under the direction of a mentor. Students report that these mentorships are the best part of the program and our mentors accomplish a great deal with the students in these settings. The commitment is not too extensive – two afternoons each week from 1:00 until 3:30. If you would like to join our mentor team, please contact Will Fowler at will@afsf.org for more information.
